MEETINGS

OUR MEETINGS

Monthly meetings are held at the:
Kortright Centre for Conservation,
9550 Pine Valley Drive,
Woodbridge, Ontario, L4L 1A6.

The Kortright Centre for Conservation is a Regional park in Vaughan,
10 minutes north of Toronto just west of Hyw #400,
north of Rutherford Road, on Pine Valley Drive.

The Kortright Centre for Conservation is a natural oasis encompassing 325 hectares of pristine woodlands nestled in the City of Vaughan. For the current list of all meeting and future events, use the Calendar tab at the top. There you may search, scroll and view all upcoming activities, speakers, dates, times and related specifics.   Our group meets in the Kortright Visitor Centre’s main assembly area on the main floor. It is a short walk along a soft illuminated cobble path (inter-locking bricks), directly connecting the main parking area to the Visitor Centre building. This path is about six persons wide, that gently meanders through mature trees, shrubbery and all things green.  For the most part, this trail is level ground, peaceful, and very natural. When guest speakers and other presenters are scheduled during meetings, we move our group into the Centre’s auditorium, which is located in the same building on the same main floor. The auditorium enables a theater style evening of learning, sharing and inquisitive interaction in a community style collaboration.
All are welcome to attend and participate…

The now and present…

Today, we are a vibrant Association of beekeepers and individuals of all ages, from all walks of life and cultures.  We come together monthly in community, to share with each other our experiences and challenges in the world of Bees.  We try to learn from each other and share our ideas. We arrange open monthly meeting and invite Guest Speakers from the broader Beekeeping Community, to enrich our knowledge base.
Guest speakers may include local Commercial Beekeepers, Provincial Agencies, Educators, and Researchers. We also organize tours of homegrown established bee yards, and other places of interest. If you are a beekeeper, or are thinking of keeping bees, the TDBA may have something of interest to you?
